Billy

Billy is a donkey who lives at the Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary and we have adopted him for a year at least. He is a lovely boy who was not socialised properly at his previous home but is now beginning to realise that some humans can be quite nice.

It costs the sanctuary about £20,000 - £25,000 per year to keep their head above water. With this in mind we thought that, for less than the cost of one entry to one championship dog show, we would adopt a donkey for a year.

This sanctuary, like others, does a wonderful job in homing and caring for these lovely creatures. They not only care for donkeys but horses, ponies and mules as well and consequently are in constant need of funds to support their worthy cause.
